The decision to go to Foothill Technology High School came easily, knowing that if I did not come here I would have to go to Ventura or Buena and have to go further to get to school and not be on an as clean campus as FTHS. Because my sister who is a senior here at FTHS currently attends I did not have to go into the drawing which made it easy to get into FTHS.
After talking to my older sister about FTHS I knew I would be attending here for high school. There were other factors that made me want to go to FTHS, I would have to go to Ventura High School or Buena High School and I really did not want to do that. I believe that the other campus' are not as safe or clean and are much bigger than FTHS, here it is much smaller and cleaner and safer than the other two high schools, it would be easy to get lost on the other campuses but it is hard to get lost here. The decision was easy, go to Foothill and be on a cleaner, safer campus, get a better education ,never get lost and make more friends.
When I arrived at orientation I was wandering around until they called us together after all the team building exercises, I met my fire leaders and the other students in my fire class and we did even more team building exercises overall orientation did not go horribly and I was happy about that. The first few days of school were also easy I found all my classes and made some friends later on in the week, I thought this was going to be a good school year and so far it had been.
Hopefully in the near future I will make more friends and do even better academically and I know that this will be a good school year.
